As a famous mountain, which is located in the east of Hanam City Hall and whose height is 657m, it is known that
it was a Sungsan(Mt.) or Jinsan(Mt.) of Hanam Wiryeseong (castle) in Baekje Hanseong era and the king held a ceremony for the sky in the mountain. Because people can view Hanam City , Seoul , Yangpyeong area and Paldang Lake as well as Yangsu-ri, in which Namhan
River and Bukhan River are combined, it has been in the spotlight as a mountain climbing course in the suburbs of Seoul .

As mountain passes of Geomdansan, there are Changu-dong located at the downtown of Hanam City ,
Hansangok-dong, which is 3
stops away from Changu-dong, Deulmeori in front of Sangok Elementary School and Araetbaealmidong adjoining
Han river. Geomdansan is good for family picnic because its mountain passes are maintained well and it is not difficult to climb mountain.
